Session
Work
Chris Sexton has long been a sought-after session
musician in bluegrass as well as other genres of music. With a discography of appearances on
over 20 albums and film and television credits, Chris is available to make your
recording project shine just a little bit more with live string parts or solo
string parts that have appeared on songs ranging in style from country,
bluegrass, classical, jazz, Texas swing, hip-hop, alternative, pop, rock, and
all genres in between. Chris is able
to arrange string parts on the spot or in advance and record all the parts –
violin, viola, and cello, and on occasion piano and bass.
Chris is also skilled at performing in
local and regional orchestras and chamber groups pending his availability with
his bluegrass band and instructional schedule.
Here is a partial list of bands, orchestras,
composers and individuals with whom Chris has recorded, performed, or worked
with on musical projects. References
